The 46th annual science fair for Hamilton, Halton Region and Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant Counties was held Wednesday, March 29th to Saturday, April 1st at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.

Cash, prizes and scholarships worth more than $260,000 were awarded at the conclusion of the three-day event. Sixteen students have won trips to the national fair in Saguenay, and seven students will travel to the international fair in Indianapolis. What happens?

The fair takes place over the course of four days, starting with project set up on Wednesday, judging on Thursday, trips and activities on Friday, and culminating in the award ceremony and public viewing on Saturday.

Who can enter?

BASEF 2006 is open to students registered in grades 7 through 12 in public, separate and independant schools within the City of Hamilton, the Region of Halton, and Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant Counties, as well as to home-schooled students living in the same regions.
