The Grand Awards

The Grand Awards recognize the "Best of the Best". They include Best-in-Fair Pinnacle Awards, recognition by the Province of Ontario and major trip awards this year to the Canada Wide Science & Engineering Fair in Vancouver and the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Merit Awards  

Each year the judges award Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and Honourable Mention Certificates. These prizes include cash awards. Last year, 127 projects won medals, along with nearly $8,000 in merit award prize money!

The Special Awards

A number of individuals, companies and institutions provide awards for projects that meet specific criteria. This year there is almost $14,500 in cash and prizes available to be won.

You Can Make a Difference Scholarship Contest

Microsoft Canada and Sheridan College Institute of Technology and
Advanced Learning
announce the "You Can Make a Difference Award" and
invite any registered entrant to BASEF 2005 to submit an entry. The
Award will be given for the best proposal describing a new piece of
software or technology that uses software intended for use by a
charity. A $2,000 cash award from Microsoft Canada and a $2,000 entrance
scholarship to any full-time program at Sheridan College Institute of
Technology and Advanced Learning will go to the winning entry.
