BASEF 2003,
the 43rd annual
Hamilton/Halton-area fair, was held
April 2nd to 5th, 2003
at
McMaster University
in Hamilton, Ontario.
BASEF 2004 will take place from
March 31st through April 3rd at
Sheridan College
in Oakville, Ontario.
Who can enter?
The 2003 fair is open to students registered
in grades 7 through OAC in schools within the
City of Hamilton, the Region of Halton,
Haldimand-Norfolk County and
Brant County,
including students of independent And private
schools as well as home-schooled students.
What happens?
The fair takes place over the course of
four days, starting with project set up on the
first day, judging on the second day,
trips and activities on the third, culminating in
the award ceremony on the Saturday.

April 5th, 7:00 am
Public Viewing & Ceremony
Public viewing and the awards
ceremony will proceed as planned for Saturday, April 5th.
Public viewing will be held from 10 - 12, and the
awards ceremony will start at 1:30.

April 4th
Activity Day Cancelled
All activities for Activity Day, Friday April 4th
have been cancelled due to the weather.
Public vieiwing is still scheduled for Saturday from
10 - 12 in the main gym at McMaster University,
followed by the awards ceremony at 1:30.
April 2nd
SARS Update
The Bay Area Science & Engineering Fair
will proceed as planned with the exception of
two activities which were to take place in
Hamilton Health Sciences facilities.
